| Job Description:
Working alongside FICC traders throughout the APAC region, the team currently consists of highly experienced full-time desk developers with counterparts in London and Stamford. This role provides the opportunity to continuously deliver tangible business benefit directly to front office end users. Your roles and responsibilities include: • Be responsible for troubleshooting, problem resolution & managing client expectations • Support colleagues & less experienced staff by providing technical support & product knowledge • Have ‘frontline’ development experience, working in close collaboration with end users • Analyze and understand details of yield curve construction, swap and bond pricing and risk management techniques with the ability to discuss them on an equal footing with traders and support functions (finance, credit & market risks, trade support) • Debugging and solving production problems • Designing applications (databases, data structures, design patterns) Requirements Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites: • In-depth Fixed Income products knowledge • Prior experiences with Desk Development (Pricing, Risk & PnL) • Excellent understanding & hands-on experiences of Rapid Application Delivery • GUI development experience using Excel C SDK (desirable), COM or C# as API’ to C++ libraries • Significant experience in programming in C++ or JAVA in team based development environment • Experience working with TIB Rendezvous or other messaging infra and Real-time market data (Reuters RFA or the like) with focus on low level interfaces (desirable) • Strong knowledge in Wintel & UNIX based platforms • Be a self-starter, pro-active, energetic & flexible • Be responsible for troubleshooting, problem resolution & managing client expectations • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Our Offering UBS can offer you an environment geared towards performance, attractive career opportunities, and an open corporate culture that values and rewards the contribution of every individual.
