Job Description:
Work tasks:
Act as Power System Lead in delivery projects.
Perform pre-studies, FEED studies, pre-engineering and project engineering.
Definition of Power System and Power Product requirements, including system calculations.
Participation in initial Power System discussions with customers and support Sales and Marketing department.
Prepare documents for Invitation to tender.
Participate in contract negotiations (Technical section).
Establish specification and interface requirements.
Perform electric transmission and distribution calculations by use of established calculation tools like EDSA, Simsen, Matlab, Simulink and establish single line diagrams. Work will include evaluation of the particular subsea requirements and available products to optimize the system solution. Definition of technology gaps and proposal for qualification programs will also be part of the work. Qualifications/Requirements Electrical Engineering degree BSC or equivalent minimum.
5 to 10 years of relevant experience
3 years+ in System design, demonstrating good all round engineering experience.
Leadership experience preferred but not mandatory
Experienced in technical contract negotiations
English fluent verbal and written.
Experienced in standard office tools like word, excel, PowerPoint etc. Desired Characteristics Knowledge of design, production, testing of Subsea Electrical Systems and Products.
Experience in the technology aspects of designing, building and testing Subsea Power Products.
Knowledge of Subsea installation, operation, maintenance and repair requirements. Basic knowledge of reliability evaluation and calculation. Familiar with International Standards like IEC and IEEE will be beneficial.
